March 1995 UWinfo kiosks converted from Gopher to Web
January 1996 Old home page replaced by cleaner, simpler layout
UWinfo Gopher terminated
November 1996 All-text home page replaced with poster graphic
September 1997 Home page graphic revised as new UW logo is introduced (old, new)
January 1998 Overview and issues presentation by the associate provost
October 1998 Old home page revised to decouple UW logo and "UWinfo" from the graphic, use text and background colour in the categories
June 1999 Ad hoc committee on UWinfo: Terms of reference, Draft of report, June 1999
July 2000 Memo from the provost announcing change in UWinfo management structure
September 2001 "Gold standard" design update launched (Daily Bulletin)
May 2004 Web steering and operations committees created
February 2005 "CLF" (common look and feel) design launched (Daily Bulletin); by December 2006 75% of organizational units were converted to the new design. The UW Home page was updated May 7, 2005.
May 2007 New International site launched with an enhanced CLF design, prompting a wave of design improvements across campus.
October 2007 Web advisory committee created to make recommendations to Web Steering and UCIST
February 2008 Design refresh to the UW homepage to align with the revised UW logo
