This 5-day course looks at what each of us as global citizens can do to reduce destructive conflict in the world. It assumes that we can be the change we want by empowering individuals, small groups and in a ripple effect, all levels of society. Our focus is on the personal qualities of those who inspire us to be our best and to engage in social change at an individual, family, organizational, communal, national or international level. We believe that change starts within each of us.

In the first 3 days we discuss the theory, skills and personal attributes of social change agents. We will include a number of inspiring examples, including guest presentations, as well as the social change initiatives introduced by the course leaders. During the last 2 days, each participant will develop an action plan to address a social change initiative that is close to their heart - in such areas as health care, the environment, poverty reduction or world conflict. Our goal is to inspire us to be the change we want!

Who should attend?

Mental health and medical professionals, human resources professionals, lawyers, clerics, educators, community leaders, and others who want to contribute to a healthier world.
