Myers-Briggs Type Indicator

What is the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator

The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) is a personality assessment questionnaire designed to give you valuable feedback about your personal preferences. The MBTI describes differences that exist in normal, healthy people which can be useful in understanding both yourself and others.

The MBTI can help you to identify your unique strengths and gifts, as well as potential areas of personal growth. It may also help you to better understand and appreciate those who differ from you.

Why would I write the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator?

The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) has applications for career planning. By learning about your personal preferences, you may discover the type of work environments that will be most satisfying for you.

You may also discover some of the unique contributions that you can personally offer in any work setting. If you would like to take the MBTI for your own general interest, that's fine too!

How can I write the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator?

It's easy. Just go to the Centre for Career Action reception desk where you will receive more information about the Strong Interest Inventory (SII). A $10.00 material fee is required at this time. You will receive an information page which includes the website address and a password so that you can then complete the assessment online. After you have completed the SII, you then sign up for the "Career Interest Assessment" feedback workshop online at the Centre for Career Action website.
