Employee Assistance Program home
Welcome all the University of Waterloo employees!
The Employee Assistance Program is a service providing help to employees and/or dependents who experience personal difficulties in their day to day life. Including:
- family/marital problems
- personal/interpersonal problems
- financial difficulties
- alcohol/drug dependency
The sole decision to use this service is decided by the employee. We ensure that there is continuation of normal salary and benefits while an employee pursues counselling until the problem is resolved.
EAP is highly endorsed by the University of Waterloo and anyone experiencing a problem is encouraged to use the service. Any feedback from you on how we can improve the program or arrange a seminar on a particular topic would be greatly appreciated.
As part of our on-going efforts to enhance communications, the EAP committee is using mass-email communications, the daily bulletin and our EAP website to announce upcoming EAP sessions and events.
Please contact any member of the EAP committee if you have comments or suggestions about our programs. A current listing of EAP committee members can be found at contact us webpage.
*EAP is covered under the University of Waterloo policy #67. This policy is the result of a collaborative effort of the Faculty Association, Staff Association, CUPE Local 793 and the university.
