Access
Employees may access EAP directly through on-campus or off-campus services.

On-campus assistance is available at:

  • Counselling Services (Ext.32655)

Areas of expertise include: personal issues and trauma, relationship issues, stress, anxiety, eating disorders, childhood sexual abuse, bereavement, sexual assault, anger management, career planning, time management, study skills, problem habits, and depression management.

Because these departments' prime mandate are students, time before first appointment could exceed five working days. Also, after initial assessment, a referral to a community agency may be necessary.

Off-campus:

Areas of expertise include: personal issues, family relationships, child and youth counselling, addictions, sexual assault, family abuse, work related issues and pain management, psychological, vocational and educational assessments, financial and credit counselling. Group counselling programs are also offered (i.e. couple and family counselling, separation and divorce, communication, and violence against women) by external agencies.
