Environment & Business

Environment and Business Student

As an Environment and Business (EB) student, you'll colour today's business green.

EB students are:

  • Unique - UW is the only North American university to offer this one-of-a-kind program.
  • Have an edge - take core business classes that are identical to those taken by business or commerce students, and also focus on the environment.
  • Job-ready - in this co-op program, you'll develop business contacts and develop nearly 2 years of paid work experience.

You'll graduate with a distinctive Bachelor of Environmental Studies degree and a network of contacts. Learn more about the Centre for Environment and Business.

Ideas into action

In your fourth year you'll use the knowledge and skills you've acquired throughout your education on a project related to environment and business, or on selected environmental issues related to a specific business operation. Working in a group of your classmates, you'll partner with industry and academic representatives over 8 months creating a unique and engaging project. See examples of past projects.

Turning ideas into action is common for any student in Environment and Business. Kathryn, pictured above, took what she learned on co-op terms for the Labatt Brewing Company and uses it to promote corporate sustainability and help companies make responsible decisions with Jantzi-Sustainalytics.
