Jay Ingram Keynote Speaker at 2011 Friends & Alumni Celebration

Thursday, November 17, 2011

“Permeable walls” and the “dynamics of dialogue” were two of the themes from an engaging presentation given by renowned broadcaster Jay Ingram recently. Speaking to an audience of nearly 300, Ingram was the keynote speaker for the 2011 Friends & Alumni Celebration on November 17th.

Environment students and event volunteers Sarah Millson and Mathure Sivananthan were thrilled to have their photo taken with keynote speaker Jay Ingram.

Remarking on the opening of Environment 3, Ingram echoed Dean Andre Roy’s sentiments that the building is about more than bricks and mortar, but rather about ideas being generated from within and then flowing out into the world. The evening brought together staff, faculty, students and alumni to celebrate the opening of Environment 3, reflect on the faculty’s milestones and achievements over the past four decades, and recognize the 2010 and 2011 Alumni Achievement Award recipients Barbara Mason and Steven Franklin (respectively).
