The kinesiology department will host the fourth annual Brain Bee for high school students in Waterloo Region and surrounding areas. The event, open to students in Grades 9 to 12, is one of many Brain Bees scheduled across Canada this winter. The contest raises awareness about neuroscience by challenging students to answer questions about the brain. Students must register by Feb. 10th. At the competition, they'll answer multiple-choice questions anonymously using clicker technology. They will compete for first- and second-place prizes ($400.00 and $100.00 respectively), with the winner moving on to the national Brain Bee competition in the spring.
