How we help you

1. Funding opportunities

2. Promoting your organization

Employer information sessions

You can conduct information sessions for students on campus. We will gladly work with you to co-ordinate an information session.

Benefits:

  • Communicate potential job opportunities
  • Network with all types of students
  • Target applicants with your desired skills and experience
  • "Sell" your organization to potential applicants

Register to set up an information session

View the event web page to see available days and times for your session, then fill out the Information Session registration form.

If you have further questions, please contact the marketing co-ordinator.

Centre for Career Action

The Centre for Career Action carries employer-supplied CDs and DVDs for students to find out more information about an organization before they apply. These resources would ideally contain information in addition to your website. Please submit electronic literature to the Centre for Career Action, by contacting the centre via email or calling 519-888-4047.

3. Support for international hiring

Waterloo supports employers who would like to hire:

  • students to work outside of Canada
  • international students (students from other countries studying at Waterloo)

Many students arrange their own jobs with international employers; however, we encourage international employers to take advantage of our employment process. To do so please visit the steps to hiring.

For more information about hiring internationally or hiring an international student, please contact us by email, or call at 519-888-4026.

4. We stay in touch

Our service team will keep in contact with you and your student during your student's co-op term. A team member may visit you part way through the co-op term to check on your student's progress. If you have any questions while your student is on a co-op term with you, please contact your work term support representative that is listed in JobMine.

5. Clear steps to hiring

Our recruiting process is easy. Please view the steps to hiring web page.
