Move-in information

When to arrive

Undergraduate and exchang​e students

Monday, January 2nd, 8 am
Upper-year and exchange students may begin moving in on Monday, January 2nd, after 8 am. You have until the first day of classes to move into your residence.

Graduate stud​ents

Note: Grad students are not eligible for early arrival as contracts end the day before the new contract term begins. We have provided a list of temporary/short term accommodations for those who need housing before the first day of the month.

Sunday, January 1st, 8 am - 12 am
Grads may arrive anytime on or after Sunday, January 1st. Please arrive between 8 am and 12 midnight to pick up your keys at the CLV Front Desk.

Early arrivals

The earliest you can arrive is 8 am on Sunday, January 1st, and only if you meet the following criteria:

  • if you live out of province or country or
  • other extenuating circumstances

In order to qualify for early move-in you must have completed the Early Arrival Form by December 20th, and receive a confirmation email from the Residence Life Co-ordinator. The Early Arrival Form is now closed. If you have any questions regarding this procedure please contact us.

Remember, students are not allowed to move into residence early, except under very specific situations.

We have provided a list of temporary/short term accommodations for those who do not qualify to arrive in residence early, or need housing before your move-in date.
 

Late arrivals

You have until 12 noon on the first day of classes (Tuesday, January 3rd) to move into your residence room or your contract will be cancelled, unless you have filled out the Late A​rrival Form. If you do not submit the form you will lose your $500 deposit.

Residence Linens

Purchase a complete set of linens and bathroom essentials and have them delivered to your residence before move-in day.
