Parent's guide

The transition to University is a time of mixed-emotion, for both you and your son/daughter. You may be very excited for their independence and this new step in their life, but at the same time nervous about sending them out on their own. We want to help you feel more relaxed and confident that your son/daughter will be safe happy and healthy living in residence.

We have provided some resources to help you understand how you can help, and when to take a step back and allow your son/daughter make decisions that are right for them.

In order to be guaranteed a space in residence:

  • You must be admitted to a first-year program.
  • You must submit your Residence Community Ranking Form, available February 1st, and a $500 non-refundable deposit by 11:59 pm EDT on June 1, 2012.
