FDA Team Leaders and the new Scheduling and Administrative Assistant (Assistant) and Mystery Shoppers are dynamic student leaders who are hired to provide support, mentorship and guidance for Front Desk Assistants (FDAs).
Since Team Leaders and the Assistant provide support to current FDAs, it is a requirement that an FDA Team Leader or Assistant has been a Front Desk Assistant for at least one term. FDA Team Leaders and the Assistant are also expected to be in good academic standing so that they are able to devote enough time to the Team Leader role while maintaining academic success.
FDA Team Leaders
FDA Team Leaders are responsible for many aspects of FDA supervision and training including: assisting in FDA team meetings, hiring new FDAs, overseeing special event days, mentoring new and returning staff, and responding to FDA emergencies when on call. FDA Team Leaders are accountable to the Manager of Desk Services.
FDA Team Leaders are hired into one of the following residence clusters:

Scheduling and Administrative Assistant
One Scheduling and Administrative Assistant (SAA) is hired on to manage the scheduling of the Front Desk Assistants and administer payroll for all bi-weekly and monthly employees. The Assistant is responsible for many administrative aspects of scheduling and payroll including: creating a monthly schedule, organizing and submitting payroll forms, completing bi-weekly and monthly payroll, and being on call to respond to scheduling emergencies. Due to the nature of this job, it is required that the Assistant is able to fullfill the role for 8 months. The Scheduling and Administrative Assistant is accountable to the Co-ordinator of Desk Services.

Mystery Shoppers
In order to ensure the best service is provided to students in residence, Desk Services Mystery Shoppers are appointed to help in the evaluation of the FDAs!
Mystery Shoppers are scheduled for approximately 6 hours over a period of 3 weeks to aid in the evaluation process and provide feedback on the FDAs to the Desk Services Management Team.
We are not currently hiring Mystery Shoppers, please look out for the postings at the beginning of every term.
