Council structure

How does council work?

There are two Residence Councils to represent different residence communities. Each council organizes their own events, and has their own executive, budget and meetings:

  • Villages Residence Council (for Village 1, Ron Eydt Village, Mackenzie King Village and Columbia Lake Village)
  • UWP Residence Council (for UW Place Residence)

  • 4 Presidents (1 for CLV, V1, MKV & REV)
  • 1 Communications Representative
  • 1 Treasurer Representative

General council

  • ~ 60 floor representatives

  • 3 Presidents (1 for Wilmot/Eby Hall, Wellesley/Beck Hall and Woolwich/Waterloo)

Note: There is one Residence Life Co-ordinator, two Community Co-ordinators, and one Don Representative from each building that oversee the Residence Council.

Meeting dates and times

General Council 

Every Tuesday evening at 10:15 pm, from January 10 to Tuesday, March 27, 2012.

Executive Council 

Every Sunday evening at 9 pm, from Sunday, January 15 to Sunday, March 25, 2012.
