Health Studies Living-Learning Community
Want an active environment where your neighbours share your interest in human health and wellness?
In the Health Studies Living-Learning Community, you will live in Ron Eydt Village with other first-year students from your program. In addition to living with and learning from your peers, you will also have support from your Peer Leader – an upper-year Health Studies student who has taken similar courses and can connect you with the people and resources you need to succeed.
Read a student profile and learn what it is like to live in a Living-Learning Community or be a Peer Leader:
>> Emily, Health student
>> Allie, Health Peer Leader
Peer Leaders and planned events
Your Peer Leader will also organize programs that will enhance your in-class learning and help you understand more about the Health field. Examples of planned living-learning programs include:
- academic enrichment activities such as research and resource and communication skills workshops
- organized dinners with faculty members and alumni
- study sessions for core courses
- participation in AHS weCONNECTu events
