V1 Community Centre

The Community Centre is the hub of activity at V1. This is where you will eat your meals, do your laundry, sign out items from the Front Desk, ask questions, do some studying, attend tutoring sessions, and hang out with friends. The centre includes the cafeteria and dining hall, lounge with big screen TV, laundry room, games area, Internet café, study rooms, music room, multi-purpose room, and the Front Desk.

Front Desk

  • Open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
  • The Front Desk offers the following services to residents:
    • faxing
    • photocopying
    • stamps for purchase using your WatCard
    • parcel pick up
    • mail distribution
    • sign out of equipment, facilities and movies

Cafeteria (Mudie's)

Hours of operation

  • Monday – Friday:  7 am – 12:30 am
  • Saturday-Sunday: 8 am – 12:30 am

Laundry

WatCard-operated laundry facilities are located in the main laundry facility. Irons and ironing boards are also available from the main office for you to use.

As a uWaterloo resident, you also have access to amenities located in other residence buildings. These include:

  • piano rooms
  • fitness centre (REV)
  • tutoring centres
  • cafeterias
  • study rooms

Mail is delivered and picked up daily, except on holidays and weekends. Each floor has a mailbox located outside the main office.

You will receive an email notification for packages and large envelopes upon arrival. Your parcel can be picked up at Front Desk with WatCard identification.
