About Waterloo LEARN

Waterloo LEARN is based on software from the Kitchener-Waterloo company called Desire2Learn (D2L). It replaced the previous system, called UW-ACE and based on ANGEL software, in January 2012. Instructors will continue to have access to UW-ACE until early May 2013 and may wish to have their course content converted for use in LEARN.

Operational issues, such as system configurations, support problems, and administration of the system are discussed at the Learning Environment Operations group (LEO). LEO membership includes Information Systems and Technology (IST), Centre for Teaching Excellence (CTE), Centre for Extended Learning (CEL), and the Library.

For more information on using LEARN, please contact your CTE Liaison or learnhelp@uwaterloo.ca to request your course be created on LEARN.
