Carol Bauman

In addition to teaching Theory at the University of Waterloo, Carol has taught Musical Skills and Percussion at Wilfrid Laurier University since 1985 and played regularly with the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony Orchestra since 1975. She has also performed with the Canadian Chamber Ensemble, Orchestra London, The Stratford Festival Orchestra, Maryland Symphony Orchestra, Annapolis Symphony, The Reading Society Orchestra of Philadelphia, and NUMUS. Carol is a founding member of the New Art Quartet, exploring contemporary repertoire for 2 pianos and 2 percussion, and a member of the New Berlin Ensemble for L’Accordeoniste. Other endeavors include solo performance, rhythm workshops, and school clinics. She holds a MMus (Performance) from Temple University, where she studied with Alan Abel of the Philadelphia Orchestra, a BMus from Wilfrid Laurier University, and a BEd from University of Western Ontario.
