WATERLOO, Ont. (Friday, September 13 2013) — This Sunday, Kitchener-Waterloo’s first green hair salon and spa is taking their craft to the streets in support of UW WELL-FIT, a free 12-week exercise program focused on restoring and improving the physiological well-being of those going through cancer treatment.

UW WELL-FIT is operated within the Department of Kinesiology at the University of Waterloo.

Known for their environmentally responsible practices and products, Hybrid Hair & Detox Spa’s last Cut-A-Thon raised over $4000 for UW WELL-FIT.  This year’s event will be held on Sunday September 15, from 1 to 5 p.m., at Open Streets Uptown Waterloo. The tent will be set-up on King Street, in front of the store Delirium at 23 King St N. Waterloo.

Hybrid Spa staff will offer their cutting and styling services for minimum donations to UW WELL-FIT. In addition to hair services, mini-manicures and face painting will be available.

Appointments are recommended, but not necessary.
