WATERLOO, Ont. (Tuesday, August 27, 2013) – A provocative play written and performed by University of Waterloo students to help those entering first year adjust to campus life will celebrate 25 years on the stage on Friday, and will be part of Waterloo's Orientation.

Called Single and Sexy, the play has earned international praise as it presents scenarios and attitudes that incoming students may experience while at university. The production addresses issues such as sex, drug use, racism, homophobia, date rape and gender identity, and is presented in an edgy, entertaining way. Throughout the performance, cast members reference on-campus resources that can help new students through challenging situations they may encounter.

Universities around the world have bought and customized the dynamic script, and engaged and informed their own audiences year after year.

Members of the media are invited to the premiere performance celebrating the 25th anniversary, and are requested to confirm their attendance.
