University of Waterloo full-time bursary
The Student Awards & Financial Aid Office administers numerous undergraduate and graduate bursary funds. Bursaries are based primarily on financial need but may include other selection criteria such as extracurricular involvement, leadership, etc.
If you have not been assessed by the Waterloo System assigned bursary process and you find yourself in, or anticipate that you will have, financial difficulty during your study term, you may apply for a University of Waterloo full-time bursary.
Chinese Canadian Pharmacists Association (Ontario) Award
The Chinese Canadian Pharmacists Association (Ontario) has established this award through the Federation of Chinese Canadian Professional (Ontario) Education Foundation in an ongoing effort to promote the advancement of education in Ontario universities. This award, valued at $1,000, is awarded annually to an undergraduate student enrolled in Year Two of Pharmacy in the Faculty of Science.
Eligibility
- Award will be available to a student enrolled in the 2B academic term of the pharmacy program.
- Candidates must have a minimum cumulative average of 75%
- Candidates must be able to demonstrate their outstanding pharmacy and/or community related service
- Candidate must not have received another scholarship of equal or greater value

- Please note that applications for the Chinese Canadian Pharmacists Association (Ontario) Award should be sent directly to the Waterloo Student Awards Office.
- The Student Awards and Financial Aid Office will ensure applicants have met the minimum award criteria and forward to the Director of Admissions, Professional Relations & Undergraduate Affairs for final selection.
Pharmasave Business Case Award
At least five awards, valued at up to a total of $5,000, are awarded annually to the team that wins the Business Case Study in the third year course PHARM 350 Fundamentals of Business Administration and Management in the School of Pharmacy, Faculty of Science. The award will be divided equally among the winning team members. This fund is made possible by a generous donation from Pharmasave.
Elsie Chisholm IODE Bursary
A bursary, valued at $500, is awarded annually to an undergraduate student enrolled in any year of the Pharmacy program who demonstrates financial need. Preference is given to students who completed secondary school in Oakville, ON. To be considered, students must complete the Waterloo Full-time Bursary application by February 28. This award is made possible by a gift from the Angela Bruce Chapler IODE, in memory of Elsie Chisholm. The bursary recognizes both Elsie’s career as a pharmacist, and IODE’s commitment to improving the quality of life for children, youth and those in need, through education, social services and citizenship programs.
