When should I use the phones?

  • To contact on or off campus shuttle
  • An accident has occurred
  • You’re being followed
  • You’re being threatened or attacked
  • See or hear anything suspicious

These phones are for you to use anytime you feel fear or concern.

Using the phones

University of Waterloo with its phone partners has developed an on campus system to provide quick easy access to help.

Pay phones

  • Remove receiver
  • Push University of Waterloo Police button, or
  • Push Campus Shuttle button
  • No money needed

Help line “emergency”

  • Push button
  • No need to continue pushing,
  • University of Waterloo Police will hear any activity around the phone

University extension phones

  • Remove receiver and dial 911 or 4911
  • 911 Emergency can be called at pay phones without charge
