Waterloo Magazine: ask the president

Thursday, September 11, 2014

The University of Waterloo is hard at work developing the Fall 2014 issue of Waterloo Magazine. With a print circulation of over 140,000 and enhanced digital content, it connects University of Waterloo alumni and stakeholders with what’s happening at Canada’s Most Innovative University.

The Fall 2014 issue promises rich content outlining some of the opportunities and challenges facing the University of Waterloo and Canada’s university system more broadly. It’s an opportunity to learn about some of the remarkable research taking place at Waterloo — research that has real potential to change the world.

Waterloo Magazine wants you to help shape this issue, by contributing to a research-themed Question and Answer feature with Waterloo’s president and vice-chancellor, Feridun Hamdullahpur.

Submit your research-related questions — on anything from international partnerships to national research policy to public funding trends and beyond — to any one of these platforms:

  • By email, to uwmagazine@uwaterloo.ca with subject header “Ask the President”
  • On Facebook
  • On LinkedIn
  • Via Twitter to @UWaterloo with the hashtag #UWMagQA

Waterloo Magazine’s editor, Stacey Ash, will choose a cross-section of questions to inform a Q&A with President Hamdullahpur. Select questions and answers will be published in Fall 2014 Magazine’s Message from the President, with additional video content and transcripts available on the Magazine homepage when circulation begins.
