Welcome to the Faculty of Applied Health Sciences at the University of Waterloo. Our programs help provide the skills, training, and expertise needed to pursue a meaningful and rewarding career. Here you'll find a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, engaging professors, and academic advisors ready to help you choose a program and courses that will complement your goals.

Undergraduate Programs


Our Health Studies program leads to an Honours Bachelor of Science degree with optional specializations in Pre-Health Professions, Gerontology, Health Research, and Health Informatics.

Kinesiology leads to an Honours Bachelor of Science degree, with optional specializations in Pre-Health Professions, Ergonomics, and Neurobehavioural Assessment.

Recreation and Leisure Studies leads to an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree. Following first year, students may remain in Recreation and Leisure Studies, or choose to major in Recreation and Business or Therapeutic Recreation. They may also complement their studies in Recreation with an optional specialization in Parks or Tourism.
