Research interests
My research goal is to use the best available clinical evidence to guide medication use in primary care. One focus of my research is the potential for emerging technologies such as smart phones and social media platforms to improve medication use in the community. Another focus is the influence of health policy on medication use in the community, including changes to remuneration programs and formularies. In my current projects, I am studying the ability of a mobile app to improve medication label readability in community pharmacies; systematically reviewing new pharmacy remuneration models for non-dispensing services; and evaluating a province-wide academic detailing program for primary care.
