Contribution to Science award
Award criteria
The Faculty of Science has established the Contribution to Science award to honour and recognize significant service and contributions of alumni. This award will be bestowed upon an alumnus who has demonstrated significant contribution(s) to the Faculty in the following area:
- Proven and significant citizenship to University of Waterloo. This includes but is not limited to volunteering, mentoring, involvement with committees/boards/panels/ project teams, philanthropic support, advocacy, etc.
Award selection will be made by the Dean of the Faculty of Science or delegate, a Faculty member and a representative of the Alumni Services Office. Please note that current Waterloo employees are ineligible for award consideration.
The nominees must hold University of Waterloo Science undergraduate and/or graduate degree(s).
Nomination process
The Faculty of Science welcomes nominations for the Contribution to Science award from alumni, students, staff, retirees and members of the public.
To nominate an alumnus for the Contribution to Science award, a short online nomination form must be completed, including all mandatory fields, for an individual to be considered.
Nominations will be accepted until April 30, 2010.
