To help get you off to a great start, we've prepared this web page to act as a resource for all first-year students to access the resources you need to transition to Waterloo. These resources contain extremely important and helpful information, so we encourage you to read them very carefully!

Frequently asked questions

Enrollment

If you received, or are expecting to receive transfer Credits (IB, AP, A-Level, CAPE) we have compiled a specific set of frequently asked questions.

Upcoming important dates:

  • July 5 - you should be able to see your preliminary schedule of required courses on Quest
  • July 9 - first-year student enrollment appointments begin
  • July 22 - first-year student enrollment appointments end
  • July 23 - open enrollment begins for all students
  • September 3 - Orientation Week begins
  • September 8 - Orientation Week ends
  • September 10 - First day of classes - you must have completed your WHMIS training by today.
  • September 10 - Math preparedness test (5:30 pm, in-class, for MATH 127 and online for MATH 137)
