Life Sciences (Co-op and Regular)

Life Sciences is a first-year entry program and is a starting point for majors that focus on the natural and biological sciences, including;
Our Life Sciences programs allow you to study living organisms - plants, animals, and humans - and their environments. During your first year, you'll have the opportunity to take a wide variety of courses in the science, health, mathematics, and social science areas. You can declare your major right away or at the end of your first year.
Co-op
What is co-op?
All of the programs in Life Sciences allow you to participate in the co-op option with the exception of Biomedical Sciences, which is regular only. In the second term of your second year, you are able to begin a co-op job. You will complete 4 months of co-op, then return for 4 months of school. This pattern will continue the rest of your stay at University of Waterloo.
