Within your major program, you'll also have the chance to specialize even further, in areas such as chemical physics, environmental hydrogeology, geochemistry, astrophysics, and mathematical physics. You'll take specific courses in first year and have the option of declaring your major right from the start or in second year.
Co-op
What is co-op?
All of the programs in Physical Sciences allow you to participate in the co-op option. In the second term of your second year, you are able to begin a co-op job. You will complete 4 months of co-op, then return for 4 months of school. This pattern will continue the rest of your stay at University of Waterloo. For more information on co-op, click here.
