Incoming exchange students

The University of Waterloo is a dynamic institution, recognized as the most innovative comprehensive university in Canada. Our academic philosophy is "Learn from Experience". As a student, not only will you attend lectures, but you will also have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience through workshops, lab demonstrations and field studies.

The University of Waterloo currently has formal exchange agreements with numerous institutions. Check the list of our formal Exchange Partners to see if your institution already has an exchange agreement with University of Waterloo. If you are interested in participating in one of these exchange opportunities please contact the Exchange Coordinator at your home institution.

If your university is not among those listed as a University of Waterloo Exchange Partner, you may qualify to attend the University of Waterloo as a visiting scholar or you can consider transferring to the University of Waterloo as a full-time degree student (for transfer students, please apply through the Ontario Universities' Application Centre).
