Making a board

Create your PCB design using any PCB CAD software and export it as either Gerber or Eagle .BRD file format.

Check if your design/board meets the following design rules:

Minimum trace width 0.3 mm
Minimum trace spacing 0.4 mm
Minimum drill diameter 0.4 mm
Maximum board size 230 x 330 mm

If your design requires smaller trace widths and/or spacing than the minimum specified, please consult with the operator to determine if your board can be manufactured.

Send or Visit

Request a quote by visiting the 3D Print Centre or e-mailing with all of the exported files.

Please indicate the weight of copper (0.5 oz, 1oz, or 2 oz) which shall be used and whether or not the board shall require through-hole plating, solder mask and/or silkscreen.

The quote can be paid for at the media.doc location in William G. Davis Computer Research Centre (DC). Once you have paid, the operator can begin manufacturing your board.

Pick up

Your board(s) shall be ready for pick up at the 3D Print Centre once you receive an e-mail from the operator. The typical turn-around time for a 2-layer board is 3 to 4 business days.
