The webcast highlights the growing cheating cartel industry, technological solutions to counter against bots looking for course content, and positive actions institutions can take to promote and protect integrity.

Turnitin Use at a Canadian University

"Turnitin Use a Canadian University", written by Christine Zaza and Amanda McKenzie, was published in The Canadian Journal for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning. While traditionally used as plagiarism-detection software, Turnitin can also be useful for student self-assessment. The article explore the features of Turnitin, student satisfaction, and the need to better communicate and message its use at our institution.

Academic Integrity Across the Canadian Landscape

"Academic Integrity Across the Canadian Landscape" by Amanda McKenzie, Director of Quality Assurance at the University of Waterloo, is published in the Canadian Perspectives on Academic Integrity open journal. McKenzie discusses the development of academic integrity in Canada since the early 1990's, the recent emergence of International Centre for Academic Integrity Canada, and ways to further promote academic integrity in Canada.
