Established in 2019, the Waterloo Region Alumni Chapter offers a unique opportunity for alumni programing and connecting with students. This chapter represents our second largest concentration of alumni in a region. The group is looking forward to connecting with as many alumni as possible!

Luis works currently in the financial services industry after a long career in the mental health field. He has lived in Waterloo Region since moving to Canada. He is a proud alumnus who is passionate about giving back to the community. Luis is looking forward to seeing the Waterloo Alumni Chapter grow and the benefits it will bring to our alumni.

Paul

Paul Moser

Leadership Advisor

Paul is currently Senior Writer in Global Marketing at Sun Life Financial.  He has worked in Marketing, Communications, and Media and Public Relations in the financial services industry for 17 years.  Paul was also a writer, producer, and reporter in TV news for 18 years.  He gained valuable knowledge and experience through the Co-op Honours English program at UW and wants to help UW alumni connect.

Hanna is a passionate relationship builder who has led many strategic design and community projects for municipalities and the private sector in Canada and Europe. She is the first graduate of our Master's Architecture program and is currently leading the development of an amazing property in the Kitchener area.

Is the Co-Chair for the Waterloo Region Alumni Chapter. David is currently a faculty member in the School of Accounting and Finance at the University of Waterloo and is a Chartered Professional Accountant. He was born and raised in Kitchener, and is excited to find new ways to connect with other alumni in the vibrant Waterloo Region community.

Laura Galbraith

Laura Flatt runs the community program at Vidyard, building and implementing the company’s social impact programming. She is one of the founding organizers behind Plugin, a local non-profit that connects the tech community to charitable organizations. She also volunteers with a variety of student mentorship programs in the region.

He is a proud alumnus who enjoys connecting and celebrating with the many inspiring and talented alumni living locally in the Waterloo region who are eager for fun events and great company!

Katie is the Business Manager for Plasticity Labs. She has spent her career as an office administrator for a variety of non-profit and corporate organizations. She is passionate about the local community, and is excited to help develop chapter events that appeal to the wide interests of the area alumni. 

Cherisse

Chérisse Mike

Chérisse is currently a Graduate and Administrative Coordinator in the Faculty of Math at the University of Waterloo. Her passions include building and fostering student life. As such, she is also the Alumnus in Residence and works daily to prepare upper year students for life after graduation. She is a proud Waterloo grad and is thrilled to be a part of creating a thriving waterloo alumni community.

Erika is a Senior Social Impact Manager at Shopify and has spent the last 7+ years working in community-focused roles within the Waterloo Region tech ecosystem. She is interested in helping Waterloo alumni connect with each other and their community.
