Strategic plan priority area 2: Education and training

Inspire and prepare students to take on the challenges of our time

At the heart of Applied Health Sciences is the belief that to build a healthy future we need to train the leaders of tomorrow. We are building on our academic strengths by developing new degree programs, expanding our online professional programs and leading the way in experiential education. We provide our students with hands-on opportunities that prepare and inspire them, both inside and outside the classroom.

Together we will:

  • Attract and retain outstanding undergraduate and graduate students and teachers
  • Offer educational opportunities that inspire and prepare students, both inside and outside the classroom
  • Encourage and enable learning across Faculty units
  • Foster a supportive learning environment that promotes teaching innovation and student success
  • Optimize and deliver experiential learning and relevant professional development opportunities

As part of Applied Health Sciences' continued commitment to experiential learning, co-op employment and other work-integrated learning opportunities allow students to apply their knowledge to real world challenges.
