Imagine having only 1 static slide and 3 minutes to explain the breadth and significance of your research to a non-specialist audience. The Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition asks University of Waterloo research-based master's and doctoral students to do just that.
As we celebrate the Faculty of Applied Health Sciences’ 50th anniversary, we also celebrate the great research of our graduate students. This is a valuable opportunity for grad students to enhance their presentation, communication and networking skills while showcasing their impactful research. In addition to some great monetary prizes in the AHS heat, grad students have the potential to win thousands of dollars in prizes while advancing through the competition!
Please join us in supporting our grad students and learn about some of their amazing current research on Friday, February 16 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. After presentations, enjoy networking and light refreshments, including a new slider bar for this year!
Check out our AHS 3MT video featuring some of our 2017 participants, and their rewarding experience participating in the competition. More information about eligibility, preparation tips and presentation rules can be found on the 3MT website.
