Wednesday, February 27, 2019 2:30 pm - 5:00 pm EST (GMT -05:00)

3, 2, 1... GO! Three Minute Thesis Competition in partnership with the University of Waterloo Faculty of Applied Health Sciences

Imagine having only 1 static slide and 3 minutes to explain the breadth and significance of your research to a non-specialist audience. The Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition challenges University of Waterloo research-based master's and doctoral students to do just that.

The Faculty of Applied Health Sciences (AHS) takes pride in the great research of our graduate students. This event is a valuable opportunity for grad students to enhance their presentation, communication and networking skills while showcasing their impactful research.

The AHS heat will be held on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 from 2:30 to 5:00 p.m. in Lyle Hallman Institute (LHI) 1621 - Sun Life Financial Auditorium. In addition to some great monetary prizes within the AHS Faculty, grad students have the potential to advance through the competition up to a national level!

Check out our AHS 3MT video featuring some of our previous participants and their rewarding experience participating in the competition.

Join us in supporting our grad students and learn about some of their amazing current research. Following the presentations, all judges, presenters, and audience members will have access to our returning slider bar! Students, staff, faculty, and the community are welcome to attend.

More information about the competition can be found on the University of Waterloo 3MT webpage.
