The Faculty of Applied Health Sciences commits to fully funded PhD positions (more than $90,000 over four years) for new domestic students.
Applied Health Sciences (AHS) is committed to improving the quality of life for individuals and communities through innovative education and research activities. We are leaders in the development of strategies that prevent disease and injury, protect and promote healthy living, optimize physical ability, and improve well-being across the life course.
AHS is a rapidly growing Faculty with the second-highest level of per-capita research funding at the University of Waterloo.
To complement our research and academic growth, we've committed to providing fully funded four-year PhD positions for new domestic, full-time students.
Doctoral funding beyond the first year may require applications for support by students. This support may take the form of graduate assistantships, either teaching (TA) or research assistantships (RA), scholarships, or some other arrangement.
