DESCRIPTION:This research proposal explores the role of Poisson-Lie and qua
 ntum\ngroup symmetries in gravity and physics. We review the previously\ne
 stablished appearances of Poisson-Lie symmetries (the semi-classical\npict
 ure of quantum group symmetries) and quantum group symmetries in\n3D gravi
 ty as well as our novel advancements in elucidating such\nstructures in 4D
  gravity.
