Applied Mathematics professor Sivabal Sivaloganathan elected Fellow of the Society for Mathematical Biology

Applied Mathematics professor Sivabal Sivaloganathan has been elected Fellow of the Society for Mathematical Biology (SMB) and will be honoured in the 2023 Annual Meeting. The Society’s Fellows Program was launched in 2017 and aims to name up to two fellows every two years in recognition of their contributions to mathematical biology.

Applied mathematics professor Anita Layton elected Fellow of the Canadian Mathematical Society

Anita Layton, a professor at the Department of Applied Mathematics, has been recognized as one of six members of the Canadian Mathematical Society inducted into the 2022 Class of Fellows. The Fellowship honours mathematicians who have made outstanding contributions to the profession through research or teaching as well as service to Canada’s mathematical community.
