This series offers in-depth analysis of the past two decades of work by influential Québec architects, situating them within a larger international context.  

Frédéric Dubé from Lapointe Magne et associés will hold a lecture Thursday March 21 on the current exhibition at Design at Riverside.

Formed in 1996, Metropole Consultants is an urban planning consulting firm, focusing on strategic approaches to urban planning issues – integrating planning, economics and the environment, and working in urban research, innovative policy development, long range and regional planning.

Adaptive Architecture will include a focus on computational design of environmentally responsive, intelligent, interactive, and reconfigurable architecture. Research papers and exhibition submissions are invited across a range of topic areas that include distributed interactive systems, complex and generative systems, standards of Passivhaus design, and performance implications of sustainable architecture. Student participation will be encouraged through a subsidy program.

Projects Review is an annual exhibition mounted at Design at Riverside in collaboration with Waterloo Architecture.

The top projects from each of the school’s design studios (undergraduate and graduate) are on display. The exhibit includes drawings, photographs, maps, video and models. The Masters section includes several large images of award winning thesis projects, as well as hardbound books on each thesis.
