Yoon is a Professor and Head of the Department of Architecture at MIT. She is a licensed architect and founder of MY Studio and Höweler + Yoon Architecture, LLP. Höweler + Yoon Architecture / MY Studio is a multidisciplinary practice, operating in the space between architecture, art, and landscape. They believe in an embodied experience of architecture, seeing media as material and its effects as palpable elements of architectural speculation.

Second Skin: Painting Architecture draws on MArch candidate Stephanie Boutari's current thesis work-in-progress: a creative and conceptual inquiry into the role of surface or skin in architectural theory and practice. The exhibition combines her research with a series of paintings and large-scale murals.
