This tending is the primary act of culture: to perpetuate a people by negotiating with a place. Gardening impresses hope upon the land, measuring the bounds of sustenance.
Second Skin: Painting Architecture draws on MArch candidate Stephanie Boutari's current thesis work-in-progress: a creative and conceptual inquiry into the role of surface or skin in architectural theory and practice. The exhibition combines her research with a series of paintings and large-scale murals.
