As a design leader within B+H, Douglas joined the firm in 1993 and was appointed to Partner in 2006. He combines his adept architectural visualization skills with the hands-on use of advanced architectural and imaging software applications. He has been a lecturer and visiting critic at a number of architecture schools. Douglas’ broad experience covers many project types but focuses on institutional facilities. His clients have included Queen's University, the University of British Columbia, the University of Windsor, the University of New Brunswick and the Sheridan Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning. His work at Queen's University's Beamish-Munro Hall, the Metro Toronto Convention Centre's South Building and the Sheridan Centre for Animation and Emerging Technologies has been recognized with awards from the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada, the Ontario Association of Architects and the Design Exchange. He has extensive experience with sustainable design and is a LEED Accredited Professional.
