DESCRIPTION:Historically\, Pride gatherings emerged from the first large-sc
 ale\nprotests for LGBTQ2 rights. In Canada\, the first demonstrations took
 \nplace in Ottawa and Vancouver in 1971. By 1973\, Pride events were held\
 nin several Canadian cities\, including Montréal\, Ottawa\, Saskatoon\,\n
 Toronto\, Vancouver and Winnipeg. Toronto's Pride weekend in June is\nnow 
 among the largest Pride events in North America. To\ncelebrate Pride Mont
 h\, Waterloo Architecture has compiled a list of\nresources that are avai
 lable for its community members.
