Congratulations to Brenda Reid whose collaborative art project, From Behind the Mask received recognition on CTV News this week.
From Behind the Mask is a community quilt of COVID-19 stories. Local community members are able to pick up a kit from a number of nearby businesses and use the materials to express their covid-19 experiences through words and fabric. The kit is then mailed back to be included in a large community covid-19 quilt.
The book is authored by LASG partner CITA, the Centre for Information Technology and Architecture at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts and published by Waterloo Architecture's Riverside Architectural Press.
In the face of climate change, historic communities are becoming more vulnerable to increasingly frequent storm and flood events. Adapting to changing water levels requires forward-looking strategies to limit disastrous impacts on the well-being and cultural heritage of these communities.
