SUMMARY:AI seminar: Localization with dynamic motion models
CLASS:PUBLIC
DESCRIPTION:Speaker: Adam Milstein\n\nLocalization is the problem of determ
ining a s location in an\nenvironment. Monte Carlo Localization (MCL) is a
method of solving\nthis problem by using a partially observable Markov de
cision process\nto find the s state based on its sensor readings\, given a
static map\nof the environment. MCL requires a model of each sensor in or
der to\nwork properly. One of the most important sensors involved is the\n
estimation of the s motion\, based on its encoders that report what\nmotio
 n the robot has performed.
