  one-day hackathon focused on designing\nAI-powered tools to support langu
 age access\, communication\, and\nemployment integration for newcomers and
  refugees\, with particular\nattention to members of the Rohingya communit
 y. \n\nThe hackathon will bring together students from diverse academic\n
 backgrounds to work alongside community partners\, technologists\, and\nme
 ntors to develop prototype solutions that address real-world\nchallenges f
 aced by individuals with limited or no literacy\,\nemphasizing culturally 
 grounded\, ethical\, and human-centered AI\ndesign.
