The Arts course selection page is the best resource that provides step-by-step instructions on the course selection process and outlines your next steps. Please bookmark that page and check it regularly! You must complete a few tasks before having your courses approved by your academic advisor.
- You'll get an email around June 4 with information about how to complete the Course Approval Form - this is REQUIRED for students to have support getting into your first year courses. The Course Approval Form opens on June 5 and must be completed by June 14, 2019.
- Starting July 18, you must check your Fall 2019 schedule on Quest to see if you got into all of the classes your academic advisor requested for you.
- If you are an AFM student or a transfer student, please see information below.
It is crucial for you to check out the transfer students page. Depending on the program to which you’ve been admitted into (Honours Arts or directly into a major), you may have some required courses, but you'll need to tell your academic advisor what courses you want to take for the fall term so they can approve them.
Get approval of your course requests
After you've decided which courses you want to take, you need to submit your course requests to your academic advisor who will review and approve your course requests. Do this as soon as possible after accepting your Offer of Admission. Please include your Waterloo student ID number, found on your offer of admission, in all email communication.
