  1. May 15, 2019 New guest Wi-Fi service launching - June 1

    What is happening? The Net-ID service used for guest Wi-Fi access is being shut down. 
     

    When is this happening? Starting Saturday, June 1, Net-ID will no longer be available. 
      

    What is the impact to users? Users connected to Eduroam using Net-ID (userid@netid.uwaterloo.ca) will be disconnected. Users can establish an alternate wireless connection using the steps outlined below:

  2. May 7, 2019[Isthd] UWaterloo Scholar upgrade - May 8

    What is happening? All UWaterloo Scholar sites are being upgraded to UWaterloo Scholar version 1.6 and Open Scholar version 3.103.19.

    When is this happening? Wednesday, May 8 from 8:00 - 9:00 p.m.

  3. Apr. 25, 2019[Isthd] NETWORK ALERT - [2019-05-02] VPN - Maintenance - Cisco Anyconnect Software Update to 4.7

    What is happening?

    Please be advised that the Cisco AnyConnect VPN software will be upgraded on May 2nd at 8:00 AM. Existing users will experience an auto-upgrade the next time a VPN connection is made. New users can obtain the VPN software as usual from the web portal.
