What is happening? Information Systems & Technology (IST) recently kicked-off a project to facilitate the implementation of two-factor authentication (2FA) across campus.
How 2FA works: Logging into 2FA protected sites and applications is as simple as accepting a notification on your phone, plugging in an authenticator, or entering a PIN from a text message or phone call. 2FA at Waterloo is powered by DUO.

What is happening? The Net-ID service used for guest Wi-Fi access is being shut down.
When is this happening? Starting Saturday, June 1, Net-ID will no longer be available.
What is the impact to users? Users connected to Eduroam using Net-ID (email@example.com) will be disconnected. Users can establish an alternate wireless connection using the steps outlined below:

What is happening? All UWaterloo Scholar sites are being upgraded to UWaterloo Scholar version 1.6 and Open Scholar version 3.103.19.
