What is happening? As part of a project to improve identity assurance processes for work primarily completed by the Centre and Information Systems & Technology (IST) Service Desks (e.g. password resets), students and employees will be asked to enter a password recovery email address in WatIAM.
What is the impact? New students and employees will be prompted to enter an external email address during the identity claim process. The updated workflow will ask users to:
1. Enter or confirm their name.
2. Enter an external email address (used for password recovery attempts).
3. Create a password.
Existing students and employees will receive communication from IST asking them log in to WatIAM to enter an external address under the new Manage Password Recovery Settings section.
When is this change taking place? During the afternoon of Monday, June 15.
